The Center for Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies (CREES) is thrilled to host its 2025 Spring Festival at Liberty Hall! Join us Sunday March 2 from 1pm to 4pm for an afternoon celebrating East European and Eurasian culture.
The festival will feature live performances including Ukrainian folk dance with Olathe's fabulous dance troupe Mavka, and traditional Turkish music by Kansas City ensemble Jambaroque. We are pleased to welcome back Big Happy Photobooth as well. Take some photos with East European and Eurasian themed props.
We will have free bliny (East European crepes) to snack on while you enjoy the festivities.
The event is free, open to the public, and family-friendly. There will be a craft table for kids (and adults!) where you can try your hand at some traditional crafts from the region
